We are proud to announce Laura Rohleder as the recipient of our 2nd Quarter Spotlight Award.

This award honors an employment support staff who goes above and beyond for individuals every day!

According to Amanda Vandeweg, Employment Services Director for Southern Indiana Resource Solutions (SIRS), Laura has been in the position of Employment Consultant for Dubois County since September 2015, having been a service provider to individuals for over a decade.

Laura’s strengths that have enabled her to excel are community connections and networking, knowledge of the labor market, experience in advocating for individuals with disabilities, proficiency in the foundation and phases of supported employment, flexible yet structured time management, availability as a mentor, and instructional teaching strategies. Laura is an experienced advisor to her peers as well as persons served through Vocational Rehabilitation, Supported Employment Follow Along (SEFA), and Waiver Extended Services for employment. Specifically, through volunteer and job shadowing opportunities, Laura discovers her client’s strengths, interests, accommodations, and goals for the best job match in competitive integrated employment, providing effective on the job supports and fading toward stabilization and independence.
